We are a family-owned and operated cottage rental business, renting homie cabins to budget-minded vacationers and large groups alike with amenities to match.
The beginning went like this…
In 2014 Tal and his mother, Dorothy bought the 3 cottages on 20th street N. in the middle of winter on a wild idea of having Wasaga Beach cottage rentals. They both had experience in the residential rental game and had a family cottage that was well used and enjoyed since 1988.
And then…
Several years of continued success from constant improvements and interactive ownership followed until 2020 when Tal purchased what was originally called “Sheilas’s Cottages” at 1047 Mosley st and renamed to Dock Life. This was bought right before COVID started so things quickly became very uncertain!! Spoiler alert, it worked out! Those Wasaga Beach cottage rentals are right on the huge and active Nottawasaga River but still an easy 4 minute walk to Beach 3. After some TLC, these cottages have started attracting return customers and ones that Tal and Tiffany now call friends.
Not too long after…
Fast forward 1 year later, an interesting opportunity at Beach 1 in Wasaga came up, so in June of 2021 Tal and Tiffany bought the 72 Main street cottage resort, formerly called “Edgewater Resort.” It’s a 16 unit property plus restaurant right on the Nottawasaga and facing Georgian Bay. Just a quick 3 minute walk gets you to the sandy beaches of Georgian Bay. They renovated like crazy… in fact they still are… and they welcome guests year-round. They have a few cool partners at that property and they are Shaka Wasaga a boat cruise company that operates from Tal’s riverside. Also Playbuoy Watersports, a jetski rental that operates from the riverside. In the restaurant is Sierra’s Mexican Cabana – Tal and Tiffany order from there a lot.
Not too far from now…
