Come stay at a piece of historic Wasaga, built in the 1920's as The Lashbrooks, a semi-famous fishing retreat regularly attracting guests from all over North America. Simple one bedroom cottage, queen bed, with air-conditioning, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, cable TV/streaming and flat screen, individual BBQ, communal fire pit and free parking (one car per cottage) on site. Docks and deck right on the water for peace, relaxation and a few cold ones. Communal campfire to make friends at.

There is a $35 pet fee per pet (1 only please). If you haven't already paid it online, please present it at check in.
We or our staff are often there, but if not, we've already planned for you! We will have the keys set up for you to retrieve on site. We love it when you can notify us if you're going to be alot later than the check in time and that helps us plan. Furthermore, we're a really busy family, so early check in isn't possible - there's times that we have to be out for supplies or personal things.

No visitors please. Only registered guests preferred.
One car per cottage. Others can park for free at nearby side streets.
11pm is quiet time all across Wasaga Beach.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel less than 14 days away from your check in date, we will do our best to rent the cottage out again for the rental period you have reserved. If we are successful, we are happy to refund the down payment minus $50 for a Processing Fee. If we are not able to rent out the property, despite our best efforts, and the property remains vacant during part or all of your reserved dates, your reservation will be subject to the following:
Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.
Deposit Policy
Refundable $100 damage/extra cleaning deposit is required upon check in

The location was great. Very close to the beach and a cute place that has great ice cream/butter tarts. However, the place wasn’t very clean. The couch had a lot of white stains on it. We ended up getting sheets to cover the couch. There also is a ton of spiders so we couldn’t really put our stuff anywhere but on a surface because there were a lot on the walls, and floor. This isn’t their fault but the stay was pricey for what you get (small and not very clean). You have to bring your own bedding and all that. Personally, I would have preferred a different place. It wasn’t worth the money imo.

I feel there is lack of communication. Pesonally I felt like the place need to be treated for mold. We booked 2 nights but we gave up and came back home because of mold and damp. We could not stay there with my 2 years old baby.
The aircondition need to be replaced.
It is cheaper than other accomodation but the place can’t be managed like that.

We enjoyed the stay spent most of the time out and about and the cabin was a nice little spot for us to sleep and wind down for the night. The dock was amazing to sit on and look at stars. Would definitely come again!

Great communication from a host who is very attentive and accommodating. We opted for the smallest cabin that fit two of us and a big dog. Great as an affordable base camp for all the nearby outdoor activities.

The cottage was very clean, everything you need is provided (just bedding and towels are needed). I rented cottage #2, for myself and service dog, perfect size for a couple or by yourself. There's a huge, lit at night , deck overlooking the Nottawasaga river to relax. They offer rentals of kayaks, canoes and paddle boats that you can launch on their private access to the water. There are two docks and a communal fire pit. Every cottage has its own bbq and picnic table. This is a quiet, family, NO Partiers and just peaceful they don't allow guests! You can walk to beach #3 in 4 minutes or you can drive and park in the Provincial Park. This is also where they have a small fenced in area for dogs. The beach is this soft, light beige sand that warms your feet as you walk along the 14km of continuous beach. The waters are warm and due to the huge deposits of sand there are many underwater sandbars that let you stand with the water only up to your knees. There are also many other areas to explore with trails for hiking and mountain biking. The cottages are centrally located in Wasaga Beach making it quick, easy and convenient to get whatever you need. McDonald's and Tim Horton's are less than 1km away. You can buy firewood at the gas station just before the McDonald's but its soft wood so I would recommend going to one of the many farms to pick up better wood. We stayed from August 31st to September 3rd and I'm 100% going back next year but definitely staying longer. If you are an early riser and like to be active all day long and have a quiet night so you can sleep then this is your place.

Tiffany was a great host. Very friendly and available when needed. The cottage is a 3 minute walk from the beach and has a lovely dock that you can sit on by the water. It was also a very quiet and relaxing place, no loud music or people. I would highly recommend!

The location is perfect! 4 minutes walk to the Beach 3. You have to understand that you pay for the location, and not for the place. It is a small, cramped up cabin without the basic things that an Airbnb provides (shampoo, soap, towels, bed sheets). When we arrived, everyone wanted to check in at the same time (3pm) so we had to wait and everything seemed to be rushed a little (also, the cabin #2 is the smallest of the 10).The fire pit was full of flies and burned wood and the garbages disposal was overflowing with bags of beer cans surrounded by wasps and flies. Tiffany is a great host, always on the site and she genuinely seems to care for the place!
